Inside the 2026 Oscars Nominees Luncheon With Emma Stone, Teyana Taylor and More Celebs

For years, attending the Oscars felt like a series of battles for Leonardo DiCaprio. Before winning a Best Actor trophy in 2016 for The Revenant, the Titanic star lost five previous times. He was nominated for 1994's What's Eating Gilbert Grape, 2005's The Aviator, 2007's Blood Diamond, and 2014's The Wolf of Wall Street, which also earned him recognition as a producer.

In his acceptance speech for The Revenant, DiCaprio emphasized the film's message about humanity's relationship with nature: "Let us not take this planet for granted. I do not take tonight for granted."

If the 51-year-old—also recognized for 2020's Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood—wins Best Actor at the 2026 Academy Awards on March 15 for Paul Thomas Anderson's action-thriller One Battle After Another, he will no doubt feel similarly humbled.

However, the other nominees in his category are hoping the Conan O'Brien-hosted ceremony brings them their first Oscar win.

Timothée Chalamet is among those hoping the third nomination is the charm. Having previously been nominated for 2018's Call Me By Your Name and 2025's A Complete Unknown, the actor openly expressed his desire to win for his table tennis dramedy Marty Supreme.

During a February conversation with Love Actually filmmaker Richard Curtis, he clarified, "All these award things, they supplement the movie." He explained that he supports films like Hamnet and One Battle After Another just as others support Marty Supreme. "So anything else, yes, it helps to feed into the narrative...everyone’s pursuing it, you know?"

Should Chalamet and his fellow nominees not win, they will be in good company. Many stars who seem like Oscar winners have yet to receive the coveted award. This includes frequent nominee Michelle Williams, whose accolades include an Emmy, two Actor Awards, and three Golden Globes; six-time nominee Amy Adams; and Glenn Close, who has applauded her fellow nominees eight times.

After missing out for her role in 2000's Hillbilly Elegy, Close told the Associated Press, "I don’t think I’m a loser." She added, "Who in that category is a loser? You’re there, you’re five people honored for the work that you’ve done by your peers. What’s better than that?"

Indeed, being nominated is a true honor. Just ask this impressive list of celebrities.

Liam Neeson

Though Schindler's List won seven Academy Awards in 1993, including Best Picture, Liam Neeson, who played Oskar Schindler, did not win an Oscar. That year, Tom Hanks won for Philadelphia. This remains Neeson’s only Oscar nomination, despite Golden Globe nods for Michael Collins and Kinsey.

Harrison Ford

Harrison Ford is one of Hollywood’s most successful stars, known for iconic roles like Han Solo and Indiana Jones, but he has received little Oscar recognition. His only nomination was for his role as an undercover cop in 1985’s Witness.

Despite this, McKellen has yet to win an Academy Award, though he was nominated for Gods and Monsters and The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.
